While you might have tucked your SEGA Mega Drive (or SEGA Genesis in the USA) away thinking it had all the games it was going to get then you should dust it off and get ready for a new game. Developer Matt Phillips has released his new game for the system called Tanglewood.
The game was originally Kickstarted back in December 2016 after hitting £54,830 of its £48,000 goal.
The side-scrolling platformer was created using the same tools that developers used when the system was released in the 90s.
The UK based developer told the BBC
I like to work with the restrictions of the system itself rather than making it for a modern PC on a modern engine. I’ve done a lot of that in my lifetime. I’m getting a bit bored of that.
Matt Phillips said he will be porting Tanglewood to PC for those who don’t have a SEGA Mega Drive in their attic.
