Mixer has had a PUBG HypeZone for a while now which automatically switches to streamer feeds of games nearing their conclusion. The switching means that you don’t have to sit through the 30 minutes of hiding and gathering and instead get a quick fix of action. Now, the streaming site is expanding that to Fortnite with the introduction of the Fortnite HypeZone.
Like the PUBG variant, the new feed looks for streamers nearing the end of the game so you can watch the streamer claim a win or get knocked out in a spectacular firefight. You don’t have to be playing Fornite on Xbox platforms either, you can be on the PC or PlayStation 4 version and be featured as long as you get to the end of the 100 player match.
At Mixer, we know that the “final 10” can create epic moments. The storm is closing in, you’re out of shield potion, and you’ve built your fortress to make your last stand… and now hundreds of Fortnite fans are cheering you on. The battle is building and HypeZone Fortnite will be a do-not-miss action-packed channel to satisfy those Battle Royale needs. We hope to see you streaming and cheering on your fellow Mixer broadcasters in their pursuit of Victory Royale!
The Fortnite HypeZone only covers the Battle Royale section of Fortnite so unfortunately, you won’t see any of the games’ Save the World action on the stream.
Fortnite is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
