SEGA has Tweeted a cryptic Tweet suggesting an announcement is coming on the 16th January. The Tweet simply has an image of a light bulb and the date of the announcement with nothing more leaving us guessing at what is coming.
However, developer Two Point Studios previously announced they also had an announcement about a new game coming on the 16th January. Interestingly, the developer has a publishing agreement with SEGA.
We're excited to share…

If you aren’t familiar with Two Point Studios, the studio was formed by Mark Webley, a co-founder of the shuttered studio Lionhead Studios, and Gary Carr who served as the studio’s creative director. Prior to Lionhead Studios, the pair were at Bullfrog Productions which was bought and absorbed by Electronic Arts.
The official Twitter account of Two Point Studios simply states
Making sim games with @SEGA_Europe Ex-Lionhead & Bullfrog devs behind #Fable #ThemePark #ThemeHospital
So the new game being announced is likely to be a simulation. Digging into things further, Resetera found that the company has a USPTO trademark filing for Two Point Hospital. Could that point to some kind of spiritual successor to Theme Hospital? We’ll have to wait until next week to find out.
