H1Z1: Just Survive is getting a bit of a face lift by dropping H1Z1 from its name. Instead, the game will be known as Just Survive. The name change isn’t the only thing happening though, the game is getting a big update as well including a new world map called Badwater Canyon.
Daybreak describes the new map as being:
Designed with multiple styles of gameplay in mind and will target loot distribution, strategic verticality, [and] exploration opportunities.
Badwater Canyon replaces the game’s original map and will be rolled out in phases.
The update also reworks combat and weaponry with the developers claiming that all of the weapons have been rebuilt from the ground up. Rounding off the update is a new in-game currency called Golden Eagle Coins which can be earned by trading in valuable items found in the game. The coins can then be used to buy Stronghold locations.
Just Survive is still on Steam Early Access as is Daybreak’s other title, King of the Hill which is also coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the future.
