Atari and LGBT Media, the company behind the social app LGBTQutie, have teamed up to bring more inclusive games to market. Starting things off, LGBT Media will be picking up Atari’s city builder Pridefest and “re-launch” it.
Atari is hoping to corner a previously untapped market which Witeck Communications estimated would have $830 billion in buying power back in 2013. For LGBT Media, it allows them to increase their reach by aligning with a brand as well known as Atari.
By teaming up, Atari ensures that its games don’t just say they reach diverse audiences but that they actually appeal to those underserved players.
