Bungie is preparing for the Destiny 2 PC Beta which starts on the 28th August and will incorporate some of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One feedback. While PC owners will get their first taste of Destiny on their platform of choice, it isn’t all going to be as smooth as some might expect.
Bungie has confirmed that two popular streaming applications, Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) and XSplit will not be able to capture the game when it is run in full screen. In fact, instead of using the Game Capture capabilities, you’ll have to run the game in Windowed mode to pick up the game feed at all. To do that you’ll have to set your capture software to Screen Capture or Window Capture.
The game also won’t support recording options from Dxtory, Razer Cortex and Fraps. Overlays like “Who’s talking” from Discord and Mumble as well as the FPS and statistics overlays provided by EVGA Precision XOC, MSi Afterburner, and Fraps are not supported either.
Destiny 2 release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the 6th September and in October.
