On the back of the Pokémon GO success, The Pokémon Company is looking to release a new game for mobile called Pokéland. The game is a mixture of Pokémon GO and the older Pokémon Rumble and puts you up against a number of trans-island duels. Of course, it wouldn’t be Pokémon if you weren’t able to capture and train new pocket monsters.
While details of the game release haven’t been confirmed for the West, the game is heading to iOS and Android devices with an Android-only Alpha taking place starting today in Japan. The Alpha is limited to 10,000 sign-ups and gives access to six islands, 52 stages, 15 levels and 134 Pokémon. The save game data from the Alpha won’t be transferrable into the main game when it releases.
As the game is distributed by Nintendo, the game will require you have a Nintendo Account to play.
