Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok has reached an impressive milestone after being the first League of Legends pro player to earn $1 million in winnings. To take him over the $1 million mark, his team SKT had to win the Mid-Season Invitational against G2 Esports. SKT defeated the European team 3-1.
Faker has taken part in 35 tournaments since 2013 and has racked up winnings of $1,047,606.26 according to E-Sports Earnings. The second highest earner is former SKT player Bae “Bengi” Seong-woong who has earned $810,683 from 21 tournaments.
