I know, I know, this sounds like one of those dodgy adverts Google show you from time to time but this isn’t a scam, it doesn’t cost you anything and it doesn’t even make us anything. You can easily get a free Xbox Live Gold subscription for using Microsoft’s own offers.
In case you weren’t aware, Microsoft has its own search engine called BING and that is where this all started. What originally started as BING Rewards has expanded and become known as Microsoft Rewards which gives you points for taking little quizzes, using Microsoft Edge, using BING and even buying from the Microsoft Store.
The last of those is great for those who buy Xbox games digitally like us as you get points for doing just that. The others, you can pick and choose what you want to do but obviously the more you do the faster you get your rewards. Rewards range from 1 point per search on BING up to 50 points for doing a little web based quiz which you can do in your browser of choice although you tend to get more quizzes if you load up using Microsoft Edge.
So how do you get free Xbox Live Gold? Easy, collect enough points and you can trade them in for real world goodies including Xbox Live Gold subscriptions. Starting at 7,000 points for 1-month, 16,000 points for 3-months or 30,000 points for 12-months you can keep your multiplayer gaming going without paying a penny. If you use Microsoft Rewards enough each month, you can gain levels which give you discounts on that making it even easier to get.
We have used Microsoft Rewards for a while and haven’t had to pay for Xbox Live Gold subscriptions for a couple of years now. Best thing is, when you redeem your points you get a code so you can give it to a friend or family and keep them going online to make up your online gaming party.
While the US has had what is now known as Microsoft Rewards for a while, it is now available in the UK as well.
