Team Dignitas has announced that Brandon “Saintvicious” DiMarco will be joining David “Cop” Roberson on the League of Legends coaching staff.
Saintvicious is probably best known for being a jungler on Team Curse and Gravity Gaming although, he has spent the latest seasons coaching Team Liquid and Apex Gaming. The latter was picked up by the NBA team, the Philadelphia 76ers who also own and manage Team Dignitas. The two eSports teams were fused into one back in September 2016.
Saintvicious will make his coaching debut for Team Dignitas at the NA LCS Summer Split 2017 which starts in June. The team will be hoping for an easier time of things after struggling to find the wins at the Spring Split 2017. The team relied heavily on supporting their top laner, Kim “Ssumday” Chan-ho, and when that didn’t work out, the team seemed to struggle even more.
It’s good to be back with my former players and the management group at Team Dignitas. The talent level of our players should allow us to compete with the top tier teams. We need to work together to continuously improve our macro play and team coordination. Coach Cop and I look forward to the challenge. Our primary goal is to get this team to the World Championships.
Having Saintvicious joining the coaching staff might be the kick in the butt that the team needs to get back on track although the Sixers will need to be careful with how they balance between the two coaching staff members so the team isn’t overwhelmed and negatively affected.
League of Legends is available now for Mac and PC.
