The shuffling masses of OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead will take a while longer to get here as the game has been delayed to the second half of 2018 according to publisher Starbreeze. Being developed by OVERKILL and Skybound Entertainment was set to release in 2016 but was then delayed to the second half of this year. Now, with the second delay the game is almost 2 years overdue.
Starbreeze CEO Bo Andersson Klint said
We, together with the development of OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead decided to extend the production schedule so that the title will reach their full potential and pursue our original vision a step further. Together with Skybound Entertainment we are fully dedicated to releasing an unforgettable experience for fans throughout world and then continue to support it with high quality content in the coming years.
OVERKILL is taking a different approach to Telltale Games’ story drive titles of The Walking Dead, instead going down the route of a co-op shooter.
We will be getting more details of OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead during Starbreeze’s Starstream event on the 10th May.
