Redditor /u/I-am-Prime has spent the last ten years building and refining their ultimate creation by building their dream Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 park. Finally satisfied with the over 15 themed areas plus an impressively spacious parking lot, they shared it on Reddit.
Describing the park, I-am-Prime breaks down the park into meaty stats.
34 Rollercoasters, all rideable, all well balanced, 255 Attractions and Shops in total, more arent possible, nearly 8000 guests, i had to fire some staff to get closer to the 8000 mark, The Guest count is at 471497, Prime Park Jet (the Monorail) has more than 1 mil total customers, The Cube on the left side is actually an in-door Coaster!
They also shared a high detail map of their Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 park to dig down into the details of the park. It isn’t recommended to be opened on low power devices or on slow connections as it is 21.6MB resolution [14152×7200] or 102 megapixels. Below is a more manageable sized version which you can click on to go to the hi-res version.
Here are some snaps we took of a couple of areas. You could spend ages looking at every detail I-am-Prime has added throughout the park as you can see all of the things you’d expect including toilets, food and merchandise vendors and of course, the park patrons.
Thanks to advances in hardware over the last decade and the use of the OpenRCT2 mod suite, I-am-Prime was able to get more out of the game than was possible when the game launched back in 2002. It is a long time to spend on a game but when these are the results you get, it seems like time well spent.
