Amazon Game Studios have announced that they have recruited Craig Sullivan who was previously at EA owned Ghost Games where he was Creative Director for the Need for Speed series. Sullivan has a history with EA including working at Criterion on the Burnout series and first-person shooter Black.
Amazon has said that Sullivan will be “diving into new projects with several Amazon studios” but didn’t elaborate on what games that would involve.
Sullivan said in a news release
I couldn’t be more excited to join the super talented team at Amazon Game Studios”. From my very first contact, it has been obvious that Amazon is serious about making cutting-edge, innovative experiences for players around the world. Twitch, AWS, and Lumberyard are just the tip of the iceberg in terms of the tools we have as creators at Amazon, and I can’t wait to share our vision with players.
Amazon Game Studios are currently working on a number of games that we know about including Breakaway, New World; and Crucible. They are also working on an unannounced project with EverQuest co-creator John Smedley.
