Back in our youth, we played many hours of Micro Machines on the SEGA Mega Drive with its J-Cart allowing for up to eight players on the one console (2-players per controller and 4 controllers). The fun of knocking your friends off the work bench or into pool table pockets was something no other game did. Well, Codemasters is bringing back the tiny racers with the release of Micro Machines World Series this June.
The new version sees Micro Machines coming to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in June. With the new version comes a new competitive multiplayer game mode which is known as Battle Mode. With support for up to 12-players, four of which can be on the same console, Battle Mode features three gameplay types, Capture the Flag, Territory and 6vs6 Team Deathmatch. These all take place on one of 15 battle arenas including The Laser Lab, Buzzsaw Battle and even a HUNGRY HUNGRY HIPPOS board.
Micro Machines World Series launches for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the 23rd June.
