BioWare updated Mass Effect Andromeda last week and took a step to making the faces less clown-like and have better animations. That is unless you pirated the game on PC. Those that opted to acquire the game through non-legal means found that their faces and animations remained on the old system thanks to BioWare quietly updating Denuvo.
When the game launched, it took just 10 days to be cracked. This appears to be down to the fact that BioWare had implemented an older version of Denuvo that had already been cracked. With Update 1.05, the new version of the anti-tamper tech was implemented, a version that hasn’t been cracked yet.
This means that the PC version of the game now includes Origin’s own DRM protection as well as a more secured anti-tamper technology with Denuvo.
Mass Effect Andromeda is now available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
As well as Mass Effect Andromeda, other games that use the most recent version of Denuvo include 2Dark, Dead Rising 4, Nier: Automata.
Pirates of Mass Effect Andromeda still get to see Addison in her pre-patched form with extra blusher.
