UPDATE: Team17 has confirmed that Yooka-Laylee will not be supporting Play Anywhere for Windows 10 and Xbox One. The announcement that it was a feature that would be “Coming Soon” should instead have been directed at the fact the Windows 10 version of the 3D platformer is “Coming Soon.”
Original Story: Microsoft have confirmed through Xbox Wire that Yooka-Laylee will be one of the titles supporting Microsoft’s Play Anywhere program on Windows 10 and Xbox One. The game launches on Tuesday, 11th April without Play Anywhere support although it is flagged to be “Coming Soon.”
If you aren’t familiar with Play Anywhere, it is Microsoft’s program that means if you buy a game, that is included in their program, for Windows 10 or Xbox One then you will get it on both platforms for the price of one. Not only that but you can pick up and continue your game on either platform thanks to your save game being in the Xbox Live cloud.
Yooka-Laylee launches for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the 11th April. A Nintendo Switch version is also in development.
