When the Creators Update launched on Xbox One, there were a few things that didn’t quite work as expected. One feature to feel the impact of the update was the absence of the Blu-Ray bitstream pass-through. The feature allows the Xbox One’s Blu-ray player to decode its audio natively.
The announcement of the feature release came via Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb on Twitter.

Xbox One owners can get the feature by simply rebooting their console to get the update and then check the setting in the “Blu-ray settings” page in your system settings.
The bitstream passthrough means that more Blu-ray videos will be compatible with the Xbox One.
