Ubisoft has taken the first major swing of the Ban Hammer targeting For Honor cheaters. Some players targeted by the ban include those who set up their keyboard or controllers to move just enough to gain end of round rewards without being kicked for idling. That group of 1,500 players known as “AFK farmers” found themselves with a three-day ban and a warning.
Around 4,000 new AFK farmers were also detected and they’ll be handed a warning.
On the For Honor Reddit, Ubisoft reminded the community of its values.
Honor: Fight, win and lose with Honor. Support your teammates.
Respect: Respect your opponents and other community members, inside and outside the game.
Share: Share your experience, share tips and hints, spread the word! Looking forward meeting you all on the battlefields!
While there was support for the decision to make these bans and warnings, the Reddit thread soon switched to discussing the connection issues that the game still faces on all three platforms.
For Honor is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
