High Horse Entertainment has announced that the Disc Jam Beta has hit the PlayStation 4 and are taking sign-ups for those interested in trying it out.
If you aren’t familiar with Disc Jam but have been gaming for a while, it is a lot like Wind Jammers from the Neo-Geo. An extreme frisbee (or ‘flying disc’ if you don’t want to use brand names) sport where it is your goal to use all your skills and power-ups to get the flying disc behind your opponent to score points.
The announcement trailer can probably do it more justice than we can explaining it so check it out below:
Stating that a lot has changed since the announcement trailer, High Horse Entertainment founder Timothy Rapp talks about how the Beta has changed.
Throughout development, it’s been critical for matchmaking that we only offer the singles mode (1v1) to help players around the world find opponents with a good connection. Now that Disc Jam is nearing completion, and with the hopes of getting some solid stress testing on our network, we are activating singles and doubles for the PS4 beta. In addition, we’ve made some exciting new changes to the mode including an updated court, as well as a complete overhaul to the pass mechanic.
The PlayStation channel held a LiveCast at E3 2016 covering the game also which you can watch here:
