Star Trek: Bridge Crew was expected to release for HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR in November 2016. That time has come and gone and the teams at Red Storm and Ubisoft are now targeting a 30th May release.
As part of the announcement of the delay, Ubisoft confirmed that the bridge of the U.S.S. Enterprise (NCC-1701) from the original series will be available in the Ongoing Voyages mode.
David Votypka, senior creative director at Red Storm Entertainment commented on the addition
The original U.S.S. Enterprise is such an iconic part of the franchise. The adventures and relationships that took place on the ship are a special part of Star Trek history, so we were determined to give players the opportunity to create their own adventures and stories on this classic ship.
The U.S.S. Enterprise (NCC-1701) joins the U.S.S. Aegis as ships you’ll be able to command, whether additional vessels will be available later is unknown but there are plenty to chose from if they do.
Star Trek: Bridge Crew launches for PC with Oculus Rift and HTC Vive support and PlayStation VR on the 30th May 2017.
