Sony and Guerrilla Games have released a series of new trailers giving us a closer look at the robotic wildlife in Horizon: Zero Dawn. In focus are four of the metal beasts you can expect to meet in the game, they are the Thinderjaw, Snapmaw, Stormbird and Behemoth.
The combat class Thunderjaw
A T-Rex looking beast, it comes equipped with Machine Guns, Disc Launchers and a Mouth Laser. Combined with more melee based attacks and a Radar Scan special ability means it is going to be difficult to hide or survive against it. It does have vulnerabilities, though, which is good.
The acquisition class Snapmaw
An alligator style machine it sports a Freeze Burst weapon to slow your movement while using jaw bites to take you out along with a Resource Processing special ability. Luckily, it doesn’t like fire.
The combat class Stormbird
An aerial based foe, it comes with a Shock Blast, Shock Burst, Thunder Bomb Run and Hurricane Blast using its talons when up close. With special ability Thunder Crash.
The transport class Behemoth
A big lumbering machine similar to a rhinoceros, it comes with a Gravity Boulder Throw and Grinding Shrapnel Blast and is keen to charge and smash you while being backed up with the Gravity Purge special ability.
Horizon: Zero Dawn launches exclusively for PlayStation 4 on the 28th February 2017.
