What would Star Wars’ Death Star look like if it were made into a roller coaster? Well, Planet Coaster player Chuck Maurice has built the ride and the results are impressive.
The ride has you starting inside a rebel carrier that holds recognisable ships like the Millenium Falcon, from there you jump through light speed into a battle between X-Wing’s and TIE fighters. You then make your way inside the Death Star itself working your way to the core room which starts exploding as you exit into the trench run before jumping back to the rebel carrier.
The whole ride is filled with laser blast sounds and lighting giving a detailed ride experience on par and surpassing in a number of ways with anything Disney has made at its own parks.
In the video below, the roller coaster itself starts at the 1-minute 53-second mark. Not sure how long the video will be available due to it using music from the star Wars franchise but enjoy.
If you have Planet Coaster and you want to add the attraction to your park, search in Park > Attractions for the “Star Wars Death Star Strike” coaster.
Planet Coaster is available now for Windows PC.
