Respawn Entertainment has revealed details of its next content drop for Titanfall 2 which will is known as Live Fire. The release takes the form of a new 6v6 Pilot only mode that “brings competitive, close quarter combat to the forefront”.
The game mode resembles that of games like Counter-Strike, where rounds are one life per player and last team standing wins. With a round time of one minute, the mode is a best of five rounds.
The new game mode also brings two new maps, Stacks and Meadow which will only be available in the Live Fire playlist as they are designed for the on foot close quarter combat system.
Also in the update is a brand-new Coliseum map called Columns, another Pilot execution and multiple new Commander intros for each Faction.
Titanfall 2 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There is currently no release date announced for Live Fire but when it is available, it will be available free to all players.
Outside of the Live Fire update, the Respawn team have been working on improving the UI of the game mode selection which is currently across two screens meaning a lot of players forget about the second screen of options. The new interface will be coming in the near future for consoles and possibly sooner for PC.
