Digital Chaos has won the ESL One Genting event earning $125,000 of the $250,000 prize pool The win makes it their first big tournament win since becoming a Dota 2 eSports team back in 2015. The team defeated their opponent, Newbee for a 3-2 result in the grand finals held in Malaysia. The best of five saw Digital Chaos fight to the end claiming wins in games 4 and 5 to seal their victory.

The team went up against Virtus Pro during the semifinals which had 20-year old Ukrainian, Roman “Resolution” Fominok beating his old team 2-0 to take them to the finals.
Newbee was the only team from the tournament’s final four that hadn’t received a direct invite to the event. Instead, they managed to secure their place by winning a Chinese qualifier. The team managed to defeat former TI6 champions Wings Gaming in the semifinals.
