Nintendo always planned to bring the Super Mario Run Android version to market after its deal with Apple’s exclusivity ended. Now, the Japanese game company has opened pre-registrations for the Android version of the game allowing you to be informed when the app is available.
There isn’t currently a release date other than it being sometime in 2017.
The iOS version of the endless runner surpassed 50 million downloads in just over a week, 40 million of those in the first 4 days. The game is free to download but requires a $9.99 purchase to unlock the full game. The title also requires a persistent online connection to play. Nintendo attributes this to being a defence against piracy.
