Former Crytek FX artist, Ludvig Lindqvist who worked at the studios’ main office in Frankfurt, Germany has launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to cover legal costs against Crytek. The claim, that Lindqvist says he has not been paid in two months. He quit the company on the 8th December.
He isn’t the only one to report not being paid on time, as we reported earlier in the week, it seems the company is facing recent financial struggles once again. Crytek faced similar difficulties back in 2014, at that time they sold their UK offices and Homefront to Deep Silver and signing a licensing deal with Amazon for their Lumberyard engine which is based on the CryEngine.
Crytek has failed to pay salaries on time starting May 2016. Ever since May this year, salaries have been delayed. Today as I’m creating this GoFundMe campaign, 14th December 2016, it was 58 days since Crytek paid me my September salary. Two whole months have failed to make it to my account. The last salary I got was one month late.
