Crackdown 3 was originally announced at E3 2015 but has been pretty quiet ever since with little information about the status of the game or when we could expect it. During an Extra Life live stream, Microsoft Studios art director Dave Johnson stated that the game is scheduled for a Holiday 2017 “or earlier” release.
As well as confirming the release window, Johnson added that the game would support 4K resolution on Project Scorpio which is also due to release Holiday 2017.
The Crackdown team join the stream at the 2-hour 5-minute 39-second mark in the stream below.
For Crackdown fans, there was additional good news, Crackdown backwards compatible is currently in development. A planned release window for that hasn’t been confirmed yet.
