SAG-AFTRA, the union representing some voice actors in video games is to picket WB Games in Burbank, California.
The union and some of its members previously picketed EA DICE offices in Los Angeles. That strike action was deemed a “success” by the union.
SAG-AFTRA and a number of game publishers failed to reach an agreement in negotiations for working conditions of voice actors, the strike was declared on the 21st October against games in production since February 2015. The union is looking to get residual payments based on a games sales performance, something which game developers themselves do not earn.
Game publishers involved in the strike action have released their own website showing what the union is looking for, what was offered and where the negotiations broke down.
