Jason Voorhees’ game Friday the 13th: The Game has been delayed until 2017 according to an announcement from Gun Media and IllFonic. Friday the 13th: The Game was successfully Kickstarted after reaching funding of $823,704 from 12,218 backers.
As part of the delay, the developer has confirmed that the game will get Single-Player added to the previously Multiplayer only title.
The release will take place over three releases for those that backed the title but the full game is due Summer 2017.
- Fall 2016: Beta Release including 4 additional beta keys for friends when pre-ordered (KS Backers will get an additional 4 beta keys for their friends as well)
- Spring 2017: Multiplayer Release with Tommy Jarvis and Packanack Lodge as the third playable map
- Summer 2017: Single Player Release and Offline AI Bots
As single-player has been added to the game, the price is also getting a hike from the digital price of $30 to $40. The physical release will remain unchanged at $60. Kickstarter backers will get single-player added for free as part of their pledge.
