Studio MDHR has announced that 1930’s cartoon styled Cuphead has been delayed and will now be released during a mid-2017 release window.
In the announcement, the studio announced the decision was so that the game could release with their “vision intact.”
Hey everyone, we wanted to finish our game 80 years after 1936 but it will now be 81.
Throughout this year we discussed reducing the scope to make a 2016 release, but we made the difficult decision to delay the launch in order to ship with our vision intact. We are happy to announce that Cuphead will be coming to Xbox One, Windows 10 and Steam in Mid-2017.
We are constantly humbled by your continued support. Love you all and can’t wait to get this to you. Without further ado, we will get back to work!
Originally scheduled to release in 2015, the game saw its first into in to 2016 when Windows 10 was added to the roster. Now, the second delay takes us to 2017 without a solid release date and we instead get a release window.
Cuphead is due to release on Windows 10 PC and Xbox One in 2017.
