At TwitchCon 2016, Amazon Game Studios announced three new games, Crucible, New World and Breakaway.
Now, Amazon is showing a behind the scenes look at the development and high-level aim of all three titles.
Crucible – A Hunger Games’esque game where twelve players try to get out of the alien environment but only one can make it out. A Thirteenth player, the game master, can control events and broadcast to the twelve as well as interact with Twitch viewers.
New World – An alternate reality in 17th Century Colonial America where the supernatural is real.
Breakaway – A mythological sport-brawler set in locations like Valhalla and Eldorado.
Amazon Game Studios are using their tools like Lumberyard, Amazon Web Services and Twitch to push games into being a social experience.
