Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts believe that the audience for Titanfall 2 eat a lot of chicken wings and Doritos as well as drink Mountain Dew. Or at least they hope they do.
Deals between the publisher and Buffalo Wild Wings and PepsiCo who owns Mountain Dew and Doritos brings players two offers of content.
First, if you eat at Buffalo Wild Wings between the 28th October and the end of November, you will receive an exclusive Titanfall 2 multiplayer mode and Titan insignia. In the exclusive mode, you’ll be able to “earn huge rewards – more than anywhere else in the game.”
Buffalo Wild Wings’ VP Todd Kronebusch told Business Wire
We’re excited to partner with EA and offer our guests unique and exclusive opportunities to immerse themselves in one of the most anticipated releases of the year. From exclusive game content to our partnership with ELEAGUE that brings e-sports directly to our restaurants, we’re listening to our Guests and embracing their passion for gaming and competition.
Next, the Doritos and Mountain Dew deal gives you access to a one-vs-one arena in a mode called Coliseum. To gain access to Coliseum you need to grab one of the two products and enter the code. You also get the chance to get additional Titan skins, a special execution and Bonus XP.
In a statement by PepsiCo, they push Coliseum as
Accessible only by Coliseum tickets, this fast, ruthless game mode is determined by the best two out of three. This winner walks away with gifts and unlockables in the form of Advocate Gifts.
If you don’t live in the USA or you just prefer not to drink neon green soda to play your game then worry not. Electronic Arts have confirmed that players will be able to access the Coliseum in-game. While playing Multiplayer, you will earn tickets which give you access to the one-vs-one arena.
Titanfall 2 releases for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the 28th October 2016.
