Activision Blizzard has appointed ex-Fox Sports Digital executive, Pete Vlastelica as the new Major League Gaming CEO.
Vlastelica joined Fox Sports back in 2010 when it acquired Yardbarker, the online sports network that he founded. From there, he worked his way up to become executive vice president of Fox Sports Digital.
On being appointed as the MLG CEO, Vlastelica stated, “video games are the future of sports.” That thinking brings him in line with Activision’s vision of the future of eSports. Previously stating that broadcast revenues for video games would be comparable to the NFL, NHL, NBA, and the Premier League.
Bobby Kotick in a statement
