A Pokémon trainer caught up in the global Pokémon GO hype called emergency services in Gloucestershire, England over a ‘stolen’ Pokémon.
The player decided to call 999 and explain how their Pikachu was stolen from them. This use of emergency services didn’t go down well with the operator. The operator responded with calm reasoning suggesting it wasn’t the first time she had heard about Pokémon GO and probably wouldn’t be the last.

So while you may not enjoy losing your Pokémon or the service interruptions it is experiencing, remember that emergency service numbers are for just that, emergencies. Your progress to be the ‘very best that no one ever was’ doesn’t constitute as an emergency
