Sean Murray, Founder of Hello Games has officially announced that No Man’s Sky has gone Gold.
The news will likely come as some comfort that the scheduled release date of the 9th August is plausible. The game had previously suffered setbacks and delays to add polish. The news of the delay didn’t go down well with some going as far as posting death threats to Murray for delaying the release.
Going Gold means that the final candidate of the game was approved and the version on disc will be the one sent to manufacture. Between now and August, any further development would likely appear as a Day 1 patch if it is required.
