Solgaleo and Lunala will be the Pokémon Sun and Moon legendary creatures for the games when they launch on the 18th November.
Taking place in the tropical Alola Region the game adds more character selection options while adding a change to the usual Pokédex. This time around, the Pokédex is fused with legendary Pokémon Rotom and has the ability of using the Nintendo 3DS camera to scan real world QR codes to add locations of Pokémon within Alola.
The Pokémon Company described Lunala as “an emissary of the moon” and is a psychic ghost Pokémon while Solgaleo a psychic and steel Pokémon and is “an emissary of the sun.”
Solgaleo has an ability called the Full Metal Body which will prevent its stats from being lowered by an opponent’s abilities. Its signature move is the Sunsteel Strike, an attack that sees Solgaleo charge the opponent with the force of a meteor.
The ability of Lunala, Shadow Shield, reduces the damage of any attacks when Lunala is at full health while the signature move is the Moongeist Beam which releases a beam of light that disregards the target’s ability.
Pokémon Sun and Moon launch for the Nintendo 3DS on the 18th November. Check out the trailer below to help you decide which version of the game you’ll be picking up. Personally we think Solgaleo is cooler.
