The Last Guardian will release for PlayStation 4 in 2016 according to Game director Fumito Ueda.
Ueda told Edge Magazine in issue 294 “Since this is the year we will see the game’s release, I do have some worries, but I’m also very excited.”
The game features a little boy who becomes friends with a creature called Trico that appears to be a cat, bird, gryphon hybrid of some kind. While Trico is friendly, Ueda said that he didn’t want the beast to be totally under your control and that Trico is a “free-spirited creature that flagrantly disregards your attempts to tame it.”
We first saw the game being shown for PlayStation 3 and then the game was delayed to update it for PlayStation 4. We expect to hear more from Sony at E3 2016 later this month.
There are currently no details of a release date but we know it’ll be coming to PlayStation 4.
