Electronic Arts has announced that Titanfall 2 will release at the busiest time of the year for first person shooter titles and just weeks after its own Battlefield 1 releases.
The news comes via Blake Jorgensen, the CFO at EA spoke at the 2016 Bank of America Merrill Lynch 2016 Global Technology Conference.
Jorgensen mentioned that Titanfall 2 would release approximately 3 weeks out from Battlefield 1 with EA looking to take on Activision with Jorgensen saying they plan to “come from both sides in the quarter”. As Battlefield 1 launches on the 18th October and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare releases on the 4th November, this gives Titanfall 2 a potential release date of 8th November giving EA both sides of Call of Duty’s release window.
Titanfall 2 is due to release on PC and Xbox One as well as for the first time, PlayStation 4. We expect to hear more about the game and Battlefield 1 at EA Play this month. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will likely be on show at E3 2016.
