Microsoft has announced that it is to pull the plug on Project Spark for PC and Xbox One.
The game went free to play as it ended development late last year but now Microsoft has removed Project Spark for download. As of the 12th August all of the titles services will no longer be available and any user generated content will not be available. If you want to keep your creations or those submitted by others, you have until then to download them.

This was an extremely difficult decision for our team that we do not take lightly. When ‘Project Spark’ transitioned away from active development last fall, many of our team members moved to other projects within Microsoft Studios. While this means there have been no layoffs at Microsoft, it also means it’s simply no longer feasible to continue the behind-the-scenes work involved with keeping ‘Project Spark’ up and running with meaningful updates and bug fixes, so we have come to this hard decision.
For players who purchase and redeemed Project Spark Starter Kit at retail, they will receive a credit on their Microsoft account. If you purchased a retail copy of Project Spark after the 5th October 2015 you’ll get a credit to purchase other software on the Xbox or Windows Stores.
