Over night, Ubisoft performed The Division server maintenance for two hours and in doing so aimed to address some important issues affecting some players. The changes were posted up on the Official The Division forums
- Fixed the Brooklyn safe house activation issue: Players no longer need to interact with the laptop to complete their activation
- Fixed missing roaming groups of NPCs in the Dark Zone
- Various server stability improvements
One thing that wasn’t fixed was the ability of other players to block your path basically locking you in place. However, Ubisoft have provided tips on how to work around this, simply RUN.
If you run into the unfortunate event where other players are blocking your path and you’re unable to enter or exit safe houses or the Dark Zone, make sure to keep this workaround in mind: Players can force their way past (or through) others by continuously running into said players for ~3 seconds. This will result in you passing through their character model, at which point you can get back on mission.
With these Division server maintenance fixes being implemented players should hopefully be able to progress and get to take on the invisible smallpox menace in New York and save civilization.
Tom Clancy’s The Division is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
