Riot Games has issues a formal warning to the League of Legends’ Team Huma owner Behdad Jaafarian but will not take action against him.
Accused of mismanaging his organization and missing payments to players and staff, Jaafarian has told players that he will be writing a latter divesting his ownership of the Challenger Series spot.
Both players and staff allege that payments owed have been more than two weeks late on multiple occasions and put the team in situations where they had no lawyer or office space for a bootcamp in Berlin. Also, the player contracts did not meet Riot’s guidelines and a requirement meant they had to be rewritten.
Jaafarian will not receive punishment from Riot which started the investigation in February due to lack of evidence and confirmed that the case had not simply been “dropped”.
Team Huma is to go up against Inspire Esports at the Riot Games studio in Berlin and new jungler Rudy Beltran is scheduled to make his debut.
