Ex-Maxis Creative Director Ocean Quigley has launched Atomic Space Command into Alpha.
Ocean Quigley has teamed up with other ex-Maxis developers Timothy Johnson, Kent Jolly and Zachary Krizo to form the studio No You Shut Up! The team has worked on Maxis titles like SimCity, The Sims and Spore.
Atomic Space Command allows you to build custom space ships including reactors, shielding, weapons, life support and all the other things you expect in a space ship. Recruit your crew and head into the Solar Arena to capture and hold contested planets. Once you have them, you’ll need to build up your defences on the planet to prevent other space captains from taking over. Once established you can mine the planet for resources which can be crafted and used in new items to help you proceed deeper into space.
As a co-op and competitive game, you can join fleets to help aid your progress while keeping safer due to safety in numbers.
The Alpha version is available to play now and you can grab it by heading over and registering on the Official Website.
