Microsoft has announced that the Quantum Break PC version will be exclusive to the Windows Store and will not be sold on Steam or other digital platform.
The announcement came with Aaron Greenberg joined Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb on the Major Nelson podcast and announced the titles exclusive release platform. As the game requires Windows 10, all owners of a PC capable of running the game have access to the Windows Store by default within the OS.
“We always want to hear people’s feedback, we’re always listening. While they might not always agree with 100 percent of everything we do, we love the feedback,” Greenberg said about some of the reactions to the announcement that the game was no longer Xbox One exclusive.
Some players had over reacted to the news that Microsoft would support its own Windows 10 OS on PC by cancelling pre-orders for Quantum Break and taking to Twitter to express their disgust to Phil Spencer.
Quantum Break PC and its Xbox One counterpart release on the 5th April 2016.
