Oculus Rift creator, Palmer Luckey is facing a lawsuit by ex-employer Total Recall Technologies after a judge ruled that the case could go ahead.
Total Recall Technologies previously employed Luckey back in 2011 to create a head-mounted display. The lawsuit claims that he then used the knowledge and feedback from the project to go on to create the Rift despite signing a confidentiality agreement with the company.
US District Judge William Alsup in San Francisco had dismissed parts of the claim including fraud.
Luckey claimed the suit was simply “a brazen attempt to secure for itself a stake in Oculus VR’s recent multi-billion dollar acquisition by Facebook.”
