Jon Hare has pulled the plug on the Sociable Soccer Kickstarter campaign after it got off to a slow start.
Sociable Soccer was touted by Hare as the spiritual successor to Sensible Soccer and was not anything to do with being a Facebook/Twitter project as the name may suggest.
Asking for a reasonable £300,000, the campaign had reached £32,498 which was pledged by 1,767 backers.
While the Sociable Soccer Kickstarter didn’t make it, Hare has confirmed that development will continue with the more traditional publisher led funding model although it has not been discussed which publishers were interested in picking up the publisher duties.
Sociable Soccer is due to release on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
