Rebellion has picked up the IP to Woolfe: The Red Hood Diaries from Grin who originally Kickstarted the project but was unable to complete it before closing the studio.
The announcement was put up on the Kickstarter campaign updates page penned by Jason and Chris Kingsley, Co-founders and owners of Rebellion.
The new owners have announced that there are currently no plans to continue development of Woolfe: The Red Hood Diaries in its current form as it uses Unreal Engine 3 and Rebellion use their own in house engine, Asura. Rebellion has also confirmed that they will be filling all of the outstanding Kickstarter backer rewards that backers had not yet received
We’ve still got to do a full stock-take of exactly what rewards we have, and which rewards we’ll have to produce ourselves, but for now it looks very likely we’ll be able to provide all outstanding physical add-on rewards at no further cost to backers. Here is a full list of the rewards we will be delivering to backers:
Art book (digital and physical)
Regular DVD copies of Woolfe
Deluxe Boxed versions of Woolfe (including CD soundtrack)
Limited edition stickers
Official documents of enlistment
Original soundtrack (mp3)
Wallpapers (HD JPG/PNG)
