Ghost Games and Electronic Arts have announced that Need for Speed will not release on PC until 2016.
The decision to delay the PC release is to offer things like unlocked frame rates and improve visuals
Part of the conversation includes hearing from our PC community that an unlocked frame rate in Need for Speed is a massive priority for you, and we fully agree. To deliver this, we’ve made the decision to move the PC release date to Spring 2016.
Any changes made to the console version between November and Spring 2016 will be included in the day one release on PC so PC players have everything from the get go.
PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners can also look forward to a closed beta “in the coming weeks to help us test our server infrastructure to help prepare for launch.” Using dedicated servers, the online required title promises to include free content updates and challenges as ever-present ways to earn rewards and explore the game.
Need for Speed will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One starting on the 3rd November.
