Microsoft has released a Gears of War Ultimate Edition nod to the iconic advertisement from the original release of Gears of War featuring a Gary Jules and Michael Andrews cover version of the 1982 Mad World by Tears for Fears.
While the original and new versions don’t use the same footage with the new take focusing a bit more on the events that take place in the game rather than setting a mood.

As an added extra, EA used the styling and song in a parody advertisement for Battlefield: Bad Company starring Haggard and Sweetwater
Gears of War Ultimate Edition is available for Xbox One on the 25th August in North America and the 28th August in Europe. The game covers the original Gears of War chapter and includes five campaign chapters never released on Xbox all at 1080p. Also, if you play before the 31st December 2015 you gain access to all of the Xbox 360 Gears of War collection to play on Xbox One at no additional cost.
Additionally, getting Gears of War Ultimate Edition provides you early access to the Gears of War 4 Beta which is expected to be available in Spring 2016.
