Microsoft has announced that in 2016 a system update for Xbox One will allow you to record Live TV to your console.
You will be able to schedule your recordings from the Xbox One or other Windows 10 device like a PC, Surface or Windows Phone. You will also be able to stream your recording to other devices in the home or download it to your Windows 10 devices so you can watch it on the go.
In November, the Xbox One will also be aligned with Microsoft’s new OS, Windows 10 as the system gets updated. The update will also open up backwards compatibility to those outside of the preview program. Microsoft also confirmed that future Xbox 360 Games with Gold titles will be backwards compatible come November.
If you were one of the few who used a chat pad on the Xbox 360 and miss its functionality, worry not as Microsoft also revealed the Xbox One version. The chat pad features a QWERTY keyboard, headphone jack, volume, screenshot and Game DVR clip record buttons and slots into the bottom of your controller.
