Goat Simulator will be making its way to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 on the 11th August thanks to a port of Coffee Stain Studios’ original by Double Eleven.
Double Eleven were previously responsible for porting the PC version of the title to Xbox 360 and Xbox One back in April and “worked closely with Coffee Stain to ensure that we made a faithful reproduction”
The PlayStation version will support local split screen co-op, two players on PS3 and up to four players on PS4. The PlayStation version will also include the debut of a new mode being called GoatVR which provides you a “simulated GoatVR experience” without the need for a headset. The mode is still unfinished but the PlayStation release will get access to an early version.
Mark South, chief operating officer at Double Eleven explained
We still need to do that part where it connects to an actual headset but for now you can enjoy a simulated GoatVR experience without it. We’ve also added a score multiplier to help offset the concerns we’ve had from a very few number of Beta testers that felt it was somewhat difficult to ‘see where you are going.’
Goat Simulator is also available for PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
